A remarkable trio on the moon

Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus et Arzachel constitute a remarkable trio on the Moon. Arzachel (Arab astronomer of the 11th century) has very steep edges about a 1000m high and an even higher central peak (1500m) with a tiny crater on its southern slope. Ptolemaeus (antic Greek astronomer) has a very flat floor with the small crater Ammonius (Greek philosopher) oddly located on one side. Note the tiny size attributed to philosophers compared to astronomers!
